- Check the voltage variant on two-outlet pumps. Fluval lists the A202 at 3 W on 120 V / 60 Hz and a separate 230-240 V / 50 Hz wattage; buy the 120 V item (A853) in North America.
- Add conditioner on refill. Python recommends adding a water conditioner during refill, and Merck says new water should be dechlorinated.
